What are FicklestiX?
FicklestiX are Xtra Large surface stickers that transform your walls with absolute ease. They are a fabulous alternative to the usual wallpapers, paints or other forms of wall decoration and because they are so easy to install you can create whatever style or look you want. After a little creative planning, all you have to do is set the scene, peel the decals and stick! And, for the more fickle-minded, the best part is that they are easily removable whenever you tire of them. Whether that takes a day, a few months or a couple of years, you can start all over again! Some folks even like to add to existing designs as time goes by. It’s that simple!
So make those blank, lifeless walls a thing of the past. Be creative. Be bold. And let your walls come to life.
What are FicklestiX made from?
FicklestiX are made from extremely thin, self-adhesive matt vinyl film, enabling them to be easily peeled off when you want to change or remove them.
How long will FicklestiX stay stuck to my walls?
The choice is yours! In the perfect indoor setting these FicklestiX will last up to five years if looked after properly. Obviously direct sunlight (as much as we love it) on FicklestiX will mean the bonding power of the adhesive will diminish faster and so the stickers will start to peel away. If you are thinking of using them outdoors, then a realistic timescale is more like two years, although they have been known to last for longer.
Are FicklestiX designed solely for use on walls?
Absolutely not! They can be used on most smooth, clean surfaces from walls to doors or windows. Always clean and wipe down the surface first to remove any particles that could discourage the FicklestiX from sticking. For vehicles we have a separate range that have a stronger adhesive and a tougher vinyl to withstand the outdoor experiences of car usage, from jet washing to cruising round the block. These FicklestiX can still be removed when required.
Orders
How long before I receive my online order please?
FicklestiX is a top quality product and we put a lot of love and care into each item. Once the order is placed you should realistically expect to receive your FicklestiX in 14 working days. Do remember if you want to paint your walls before you get sticking then this is the ideal time (if you have not done it already) as it is advisable to let the walls dry for two full weeks. All our deliveries are shipped by a reputable dispatch company to ensure their safe arrival.
Can I track my order?
Of course. All you need to do is go to www.city-link.co.uk and enter the Tracking Number we send you.
Can I return my order?
We want nothing more at FicklestiX than truly happy customers. Whilst we are sure you will be head over heels about your FicklestiX order when it arrives, we regret we cannot accept any returns on products. However the great news is you can most definitely exchange them for other items to the same value or greater within 14 days of receipt. The FicklestiX package must be returned to us intact and in an unopened condition and we would strongly advise when returning to obtain proof of postage if not sending with a courier. You are responsible for return shipping fees. FicklestiX do not offer any credit on returns and any replacement order is final and cannot be exchanged. In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods, or items that you did not order, it is important that the item(s) remain unopened and undamaged so we can credit you in full, including return shipping if it is a result of our error.
International Orders
Do you ship overseas?
Absolutely! All our overseas orders are shipped with Royal Mail Parcel Force with the rates dependent on the destination. There are no taxes or duties charged by FicklestiX for orders shipped from the UK, but you may incur import taxes and duties in the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. Please check with your post office or taxation office for details about taxes or duties on small imports. Many countries do not charge taxes or duties on items below a certain cost.
FicklestiX Application Tips. The dos and the don'ts!
I have just received my FicklestiX order! What do I do now?
Welcome to our world!! Once you have opened the package (which we are sure you will have done by now), please read the instructions on the reverse thoroughly. This will ensure you save time and avoid making any mistakes en route to your divine design!
Will FicklestiX stick to any surface?
Almost any surface. FickelstiX love clean, dry walls fee from any dirt or bumps to prevent them sticking. We have found eggshell to be particularly perfect and you can wipe any fingerprints away post FicklestiX'ing.
Can I apply FicklestiX to a freshly painted surface?
You need to leave any freshly painted walls at least two weeks to fully dry out, but it is so worth the wait! If the paint does not fully dry, the FicklestiX adhesive will stick to the paint and when you remove them, peel it off too!
Will FicklestiX adhere to all paint types?
FicklestiX stick very well to matte, satin or gloss paints.
What about textured and surfaces?
Smooth surfaces are best but lightly textured surfaces can work just as well. FicklestiX will also work in the bathroom on smooth surfaces but ensure the walls are completely dry first.
Any surfaces which you would not recommend?
Unfortunately we would not, under any circumstances, advise trying to stick FicklestiX to strongly textured surfaces. They will not stick and the rough edges could rip through the stickers. Nor will FicklestiX stick to anything made of fabric or virgin canvas. Paper-based materials and wallpapers are fine if you want the FicklestiX to be permanent, as any attempt to remove them would tear off the paper too.
How easy are FicklestiX to remove?
This is easier than applying! Simply lift up an edge with your fingernail and slowly peel the decal off the wall. If you have any problems removing the sticker or the surface is less porous, we would advise the use of a hair-dryer at a low heat setting to warm the sticker and help release the adhesive agent.
Will FicklestiX damage the paint or walls in any way and leave a sticky mess on the walls?
FicklestiX should not leave any residue on your wall once removed. We have tested and retested FicklestiX on many types of surfaces and successfully removed them without damage to any surfaces. However due to the vast array of surfaces and conditions, FicklestiX can not be held responsible for difficulty of removal or damage to any surfaces.
